We didn't even bring a pole. Last weekend a couple friends of mine went out to "the honey hole" but the water wasn't moving. I talked to a few people today who were fishing in the area and noone seemed to be doing any good. They all seemed pretty bummed out. The water was muddy also.

My lease aint in Turtle bayou. It starts where bayou penchant splits off of bayou chene. If you leave the amelia ramp you run like ya gonna go to bayou black, but turn right in the chene. Run down til ya get to the penchant and thats where it starts. It runs down the chene toward the river til ya get to a big lake on ya left . Thats lake Gascha. Our camp is in a lil bayou right before the lake. Got almost 6000 acres to ride on.

Hey Tenpoint, my lease is just across from yours. If you keep going down the Penchant about a mile or so from the Bayou Chene fork, it makes a 90 to the north with a small location canal that runs to the south that crosses Alligator Bayou. Our houseboat is just off that location canal. Lease runs from just to the south of that location canal to the pipline that crosses to Crawfords lease along Bayou Penchant.

Yeah, that's us. Funny you mentioned the mudboat, we finally got rid of that piece of crap. Is your camp one of the ones on Blackbird Bayou? My buddy and I fish in there a good bit. I am sure that you know Mike Tamporello. He has the deer rights on the same lease that we duck hunt. He is a super cool cat, he lets us do some deer hunting just about whenever we want. Ya'll should come by during the season. We are there every weekend and just about everytime we can make out during the holidays.

The camp in the back is for some guys that share the eastern most side of the lease with us. They basically pay for one blind. Their houseboat took some damage from Katrina and they have never repaired it. Every year they tell us that they need to get back there and fix it so they can start hunting again. That hasn't happen yet.
The houseboat in the back is where we usually fish too. We smoked em' back there as well and we have also not gotten a bite. "Honey holes" are hard to come by these days, but we can usually run around and hit a few spots and pick up anywhere from 15 - 20 nice fish, just enough to make a nice fry. Kent Bayou is spot where you can go and catch 50 one day and practice casting the next.
Maybe we will cross paths here pretty soon, with the season gettin close. We try to make a couple of teal hunts. If I get a chance, next time I'm down I'll come by your place and check out whats going on.
