Here's what I took from it:
They lived in Albany GA and never went quail hunting or even owned a bird dog.
He saved $24,000 for a boat and bought his in-laws a bed and a wheelchair instead.
His wife should've been home cleaning and making biscuits. Then the Dr. at her work wouldn't have been trying to pound her.

As for the movie, I have seen it with my wife and kids.
The acting does suck, but when you realize that it was written, produced and filmed by a church in Ga. you sort of get past that and focus on the message.
This particular church also did "Facing The Giants" another good message.

Re: the movie Fireproof The message definitely outweighs any flaws in the acting, imo.
As was mentioned they sre the same producers of "Facing the Giants".
They also have a third movie, well maybe their first chronologically, called "Flywheel". Lower budget, a lot of the same actors, but the message is still there.
