Earlier I heard a couple squeaks and I thought it was one of my labs biting on the other one and he was yelping. Then it kept going. I thought it was a battery dying in a smoke detector (should have known it wasn't that, cause that only happens at 3:00AM). So I sit down to watch Red Dawn (the new one not the 80's classic). Right after the North Koreans parachute into town, I look out in my driveway and see three doves and this: http://www.arkive.org/sun-parakeet/arat ... stitialis/ Couldn't frickin' believe my eyes!! A parrot in Minnesota. My 6 year old daughter has been wanting a bird every since I got a bunch of kill pigeons to train my pup (they named the training pigeons which was maybe a mistake). She and my son start to go crazy. My son gives me his shirt to catch it. I sneak around the garage and the thing just looks at me. I just bent down, stuck out my finger and the thing walk right up to me, and climbs on my finger. So now I got a parrot in a pigeon trap eating cracked corn in my garage. I looked them up and the can live for 25-30 years and cost $300-$800. Now my daughter wants to keep it. |

Looks Ike someone pet got away ,parrot are expiernce my mother in law has bunch of them , one is and African grey am it knows more curse words than me lmfao |

Now you know dang well thats someones pet! If your dog got loose, would you want the person who found it to try to find the owner (you)? Or would you just expect for them to keep it? Just asking, that is an expensive bird. |

Thats whats known on the market as a Sun Conure. I had the bigger Blue Crown Conure's. they were cool as shit. Put up flyers, notify the vets around your area, notify the animal sheters. Thats all places the owner would look for it. There is a good chance that this bird flew in from many miles away. Did you check the wings to see if they are clipped. Can it even fly. I would clip all my birds wings. They couldnt fly just gracefully fall to the ground and walk around. If the wings are clipped its for a close neigbor cause he didnt fly in. Do the right thing and try to find the owner for a couple weeks. If you cant find them just keep it. |

So lady just responded to my CL ad. She's coming over to get the bird, but sounds sort of sketchy (she wanted to meet elsewhere, etc.). Should I have my wife on the roof with an AR and laser or should I just meet her openly carrying my 1911? Or both? |
