Has anyone ever had their shotgun camo dipped? If so how did it turn out? Does it hold up well? and Where did you get it done? |

i had a stoeger condor done and it came off right away. i took it back and they redipped it under warranty this was the end of last season when i got it back. never made a duck hunt with it. went out last week for a teal hunt, and by the time i got back to the truck the camo was coming off in my hands. if take it back now, i wont have in time for the duck season, because wherever it gets sent off to takes 3 or 4 months to get it back. my suggestion is to buy already camoed from the manufacturer. |

Mark's Outdoors in Birmingham just started dipping guns in-house. A buddy of mine dropped one of his A5's off there last week and they told him it would be a 2 or 3 week turn-around. Based on their long standing reputation of quality and outstanding customer service, I have no doubt that their dipping service will be top notch as well. www.marksoutdoors.com |

I had my SBE dipped back in 2000 or 2001. I had my M1 20ga dipped about 2 years later. I've never had a problem with either of the coatings. They've held up better than I expected. About the only thing I have noticed not to get on or near them is 100% deet. That will take it off for sure. The place that dipped my SBE was on the West Coast, and I know he stopped doing guns. That was the reason I sent my M1 to the guy in Tennessee who's name I can't seem to remember at the present. I'll see if I can dig up the paper work this week for ya. |
