Looks to be about 14' give or take. I have only once seen a gator of dat size and I've been huntin them for about 15 years now. Started goin wit my father and uncle when I was bout 12. I bet dem boys had one hell of a fight gitten dat big boy in dat little boat. |

There was one about that size hooked on one of our jugs for about 5 months around Bayou Sale. That was about 11 years ago when I was in college. We use stainless hooks so he stayed on and we would see him everytime we ran our lines. He was always within about 1000 yds of where we had set our lines. We never could get that sucker. |

holy shit!!!i thought mine was big! shit mine was right at 400lbd at about 11feet...this sum bitch has to be 15 plus at 6-700lbs  !!!!~!

Sorry guys I gave the wrong info on the above gator. Did some looking this morning and the above gator was killed last year in SC 12'+ and estimated between 600-800# There was one killed this year that was 546#, also some more pics of 12' gators on there web site Here is the link http://www.postandcourier.com/news/2008 ... ator54645/

As I have said on another site I am not sure if we have lizards that big in Texas anymore. Too many Cajun Restaurants don't ya know.
