Post Re: We Lost Coupe1975 - Rest in Peace Brother
I've been in touch with Becky , coupes widow . We are all in shock. . I have spoken with Becky about ensuring that I'd take the boys hunting this year and every year , to honor coupes memory . She expressed how jayson had been crying that he'd never be able to hunt or fish again. , coupe was all the time taking the boys out on the water . Last year was the first good duck season they had . And I lent jayson my old h & r youth. 20 gauge to use for his season. . I plan on having a new hunting buddy this upcoming season . It's ironic that we had a ride planed for today, and when I called his cell, it was to find out what time he wanted to meet at the launch, not to find out you've lost a freind .

After some hard thinking today. , about how fleeting life can really be. , guys call your buddy's , tell them they matter to you , call your mothers. , they will appreciate it. , tell your wives and children you love them as often as you can . It can be taken from us in an instant. .

At some point after we bury our freind , I'll make a post and be asking the local Mmt er s around this area to step up and join a hunt in coupes memory , I have the land and I'll want them to help these boys know their father was something special .

Miss you already buddy

H Finn

Already did that, he was the very first one to get it. If anyone knows a member who has passed on I'd be happy to put this special rank on their account.

I've setup a fund on the MMT Store for folks to donate to the cause. We will be sending a nice arrangement from MMT members.

This fund will be open until Monday 9am so we can order the arrangement and have it sent in time. After that I'll take it down. I can setup this fund for any MMT member who needs, be it funeral expenses or supporting the family.

Here's the link to the fund:

RIP Coupe. Prayers for the family.

Tony, if you can set up paypal, it would be easier, faster and more people may give.

What if instead of a huge arrangement, we put the rest of the money in an account for his children to use for hunting and fishing expenses.

RIP Coupe1975. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

The six kids losing their dad is what I can't get out of my head. The additional burden on his wife will be overwhelming. Maybe now is too soon, but there has to be something more we could do or put together to give them some additional support in the coming months.

How old are the kids?

You can check out as a guest but signing up makes it nice to lookup old orders and such.

The normal card surcharge will be waived, so if you donate $10.00 that's all I'll run the card for.

Thanks to all who donated so far, I'll give a tally today on how much so far.

I would give once a year, every year for this. And would definitely give more. Huck, let us know if more is needed in a few months when my situation is better off.

This for sure^^ That's awesome VooDoo Daddy, Huck and I spoke last night and had some thoughts of maybe a scholarship fund or trust that one or all of the kids could share in who wanted to go to collage. Huck was going to look into what was already in place or not in a few weeks from now when things settle down. Any thoughts?

I has thinking of this just yesterday. Seems like an easy way to make it happen. Doing it annually would be even better!!

Huck, brother I am so sorry. I know David was a dear friend to you. My dad and I got to meet him once in February when you bought my motor. He and my dad were a lot a like in the way that you just couldn't shy away from them. Their personalities wouldn't let you. The two of them really hit it off that day. Then May 9th I lost my father suddenly, now not soon after David has passed on. It's a harsh reminder that we need to let those close to us know how much we love them.

Wow! I am at a complete loss! I just sent him a PM on Friday asking when the next time he was headed to Conroe because I was finally getting some free time and was ready to get out and hang out with him. We had talked at Mud Bugs run about it and now its too late!

Scott, I am going to try and clear out my Wednesday morning and make the service. Also since I'm in the area let me know if you need help with anything at all for family. I'm here and willing to help!

RIP David! I have lost out on getting to better know a great man!
