Post Transom angle question.
How critical is the 20 degree transom angle for a GTR? I have a boat that will be getting its first GTR in a couple months and Im getting a few things straight wit da boat right now. Just wondering if the trim adjustment pin on the saddle of the motor would give me the right angle that I need or what. The boat had a 36 PD on it and ran good but I dont know the angle of the transom. Or is this something I should even be worried about?

If its not the right angle you can wedge it till its good!! I ran mine like that for years on my other rig!!

Yes don't think of it like a outboard!!! It changes the angle!! I had a little piece of alum. i went from 0 to about a 1/4!! I even wedge my new boat with a piece of rubber on the bottom half!! works pretty good!!

You should be good with 20degree transom.

Transom should be at a 62.8 degree angle.

Maxxis85 has a GTR on a Brotha Breaux bateau built for a PD (transom angle) and with the GTR in the bottom hole he says he can trim down low enough to get a bite in the mud and runs good on top. I am sure he will comment with some more info, but like others have said, you can wedge it if you need to.
