 Went to New orleans today and got some boudain............. ..............some stuffed rabbits.......some stuffed chickens ................

Re: Went to New orleans today and got some boudain............. I'm eatin some turduchen sausage as we speak and it is good!
I simmered it on a bed of little onions and olive oil for about two sam adams winter lagers....my oh my. we went there and back in the same day.
I learned a long time ago to never ever ever spend the night in New Orleans if you had any other options. I got home and crawled in to my own bed and woke up with the most beautiful woman that I know. and thats that.

They used to have a store called the Gourmet Butcher Block (I think) on the eastbank of N.O. but they have been closed for awhile. There is a meat market in Port Allen (across the river from Baton Rouge) that has everything but their prices are a little high and it's quite a drive. I have been looking for another store in my area that has good deboned stuffed chickens.
