I know its a personal preference deal when it comes to shotguns, but I want some feed back on people shooting the a5. im currently shooting a benelli super nova and want a semi auto. |

I'm assuming the "new model" A5? I have one. Black synthetic, 26", three inch chamber. This will be my second season with it. It's reliable. No problems. I like it. |

I do not own one but my buddy bought one and had problems with it and had to send it back to get it fixed. He is shooting his A400 and loving it now. |

After hearing Remingtons (the 1187 was referenced specifically) kicks like mules, benellis and franchis were the softest shooting, and the new a5 and sx3 were better than anything on the market, I suggest you try to find someone with one and shoot it. As far as reliability, do some forum searching and see what the majority consensus is. Keep in mind there's always a lemon, and there's always brand loyalty that tends to be blind to greatness and faults alike. |

Outside of the looks they don't seem to be bad. I've shot one a little here and there skeet shooting with my buddies. Can't say anything negative about it, it's pretty balanced and swings well.. Take everything about shotguns on the Internet with a grain of salt, all your paying for is the brand anyways.. It's all the same really none of them are better than any of the other ones. Just go pick the one that shoulders the best for you and that's the best gun |

I got an A5 last year. Couldn't tell you how many rounds I put through it but other than a couple jams. I really like it, very easy to swing, doesn't kick to bad, easy to clean. |

My 11-87 has less recoil than my sx3. That's an unbiased opinion. To me the superfastness of the sx3 actions makes it way harder. The 11-87 feels like a longer stroke and the recoil isn't instant like it is in my sx3. I have to say after shooting the a400 unico it feels the best out of any semi auto I've ever shot. But I can't bring myself to dump that kind of coin. It's simple. get a mud motor. shoot ducks in the face. |

^ This is what you're gonna find on most of them. Sure, there's some design tweaks in first year guns, but they're all gonna wind up decent or they won't make year two. Find the brand/model that fits you, and roll with it. |

I have a 3" A5 28" barrel, Going into 3rd season. I've had no isdues at all. I know alot of guys have had feed/eject problems all of which had 3.5" chambered guns. I shot an A5 and sbe2 side by side hunting. I chose the a5 for how it shouldered and was lighter. There both very similar in action. Only thing I can say bad is mine has some rust spots on the barrel, but is used in salt. |

I've had an a5 since they came out and I don't like it at all. Probably haven't shot a whole box of shells out of it. Kicks me in the jaw and gives me headaches after just a few shots so it stays in the safe. I shoot a sbe2 and extrema 2 for a backup |

I've had my browning gold for a long time and shoots great, my brother has had his even longer with minimal problems for the abuse we put them through. Other brother has the silver and it's just fine too. I think the maxxus would be my next one though, sweeeeet shooting gun. If the new A5 ares anything like its predecessors than should be good to go |

I've always shot the old A5 models. Only gun I can shoot now. Kicks like a proverbial mule. I had shoulder surgery and switch to the new A5 and the kick is gone and it shoots just like the old A5. Still shoot my old A5's for doves or woodies but the 3" duck shells go in the new one. Good gun in my opinion, never had a jamb. |

I mostly shoot 3.5 shells in my nova so I'm use to the kick. Just want a dependable auto. I like browning because of the flat rib so u hit where your aim is at. My nova shoots 3 inches lower than where i aim. I've shot them all and like the a5 but I have no one that has had for more than 5 months. |

Going into my 3rd season with a black 3" with a 30" barrel and pure gold extended chokes. Smooth swinging easy shooting reaches out and smacks birds hard. I've put close to 5000 rounds thru the gun a lot of clays in the off season. No issues wish they would put out a 20g. I normally get a new gun every 3-4 yrs but unless something serious happens I'm keeping this one for a very long time. Sent from the company's iPad while at work |

well i pulled the trigger and bought the a5 today. waiting on the back ground check to come in. hopefully i can take it on its first hunt and shoot ducks in the face. |

Excellent choice you'll enjoy it. When you get it take a few mins and get a friend to help you adjust the shims in the stock and make sure you are looking down the barrel proper. Make a world of difference in your shot placement. Sent from the company's iPad while at work |
