This is just a question.Why does these mud motors have to have air filters ,if they run on the water or where theirs no dust.just a thought. Outboards don't have air filters. Could it mean more hp? has any one tried it.

You don't usually run through stuff like tall grass in an outboard. Run through some tall grass and see how much stuff like seeds and what not end up in the bottom of the boat. I don't want that stuff in my motor. My air filter is staying in.

well im saying to have wide open but come up with a way let it have more air. well i know iv ran my out board through a lot of stuff.o well just a thought.

Their is dust in the air no matter where you are at. I bet if you pick your nose after being in a boat all day, you will have boogers. Do you want your nose cut off too?
