I sent a buddy and his kids to a hole in had been shooting. Wouldn't you know it he shoots a neat hybrid.

It has a shoveler bill and coloration of a gadwall and widgeon. Odd for sure.

I looked at it before we went hunting today. The pic makes it look like a spoonie Bill. It is more like a gwt. Zeek probably nailed it.

If the bill is like a gadwall, it's a brewer's duck, gadwall/mallard cross.

I shot one 7-8yrs ago, but mine was more like a mallard, saw one last yr that looked more gadwall

Shovler x gadwall. Its got a shovler wing and bill and the feathers on its backare gadwall. And If you google it that bird is a spitting image of all the pics of them on google ;) I have apic of one somewhere my my grandpaw took of one last year.
