I have the fenix one. Its like 950 lumes with 5 different brightness settings. Its brighter than most flashlights ive seen...and its rechargeable. Its pricey but worth it, my lightbar wasn't working the other day and i drove boat using that head light to see where i was going lol. Bout $80 I think is what I paid for it. Ill see if i cant et a picture of how bright it really is tonight or tomorrow

Re: headlamp
Whatever you do DO NOT buy from a company called GOVOLT!!!!! They're based in Gainesville, Ga and they just buy $10 Chinese headlamps and flashlights off eBay and have their brand name out on them and sell them for $60. Look up the company find their "product" and go get them from eBay for cheap. They're pretty good and also rechargeable. Just don't buy from those crooks bc you're getting ripped off.

Re: headlamp
I got a stream light headlight for Christmas a few years back. It ran 3 years on its first set of batteries. I put fresh ones in it during teal season this year and it may or may not be bright enough to drive the boat with and possibly shoot deer at night with...

headlamp
I've been running a nitecore headlight for about 4 years. Can't beat it. Runs an 18650 battery like my other high end flashlights

Re: headlamp
Had one of these and it's just as bright but not rechargable. Drove the boat with it many mornings. Basically like having a spotlight. Also zooms out for flood light. Trust me it's worth it despite the price. Don't get caught up in price as far as headlights. http://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/produc ... -headlight

Do a search on eBay and you will be overloaded with choices. I just bought a Cree 8000 lumens with rechargeable batteries and charger for $10.00 and change. You can find lights on there from $5.00 - $60.00. Pages and pages of them.

Re: headlamp
I've never heard of any of the brands eexcept bushnell and they love making shit in China now. What I use is a H14 LED LENSER, made in Germany and have a 10 year warranty. They absolutely eat batterys but that's why they are bright and you cough for rechargeable. I use mine in the boat to navigate and have shot 5 or 6 Red deer with it this year so far. The H7 is a smaller aaa powered model but just as good. They are pricey but I've never heard anyone bitch about buying quality.

Re: headlamp
Turned out to be a really good light! I still use my big badass hat light for running but did use this one on a really foggy morning that I forgot the other and was pleased with it! Here's a pic walking outta the deer woods at dark.

Re: headlamp
This one, and its not even close. I run my boat with this one. Throws a dot a long way. Has several different modes. High, low, strobe... The elastic band is very comfortable. The main thing, its completely waterproof. Have been in a downpour and still no issues. The rechargeable batteries last a long time on a charge. Several different charging cords, wall, usb, cig lighter. Other than being waterproof, the best thing I like about it, it is very lite. You hardly even know its on your head. I have a browning light, stream light and some others and this one is by far the best. Those other use the camera batteries and those suckers can get expensive. Not this one, recharge it and roll out. there are several different types, but you need this model GRDE RJ2158. its the better of all of them and only $17. Thos other browning lights and such were damn near $100.

Re: headlamp
You've got that right about the batteries getting expensive! I'll never buy another that's not rechargeable! That li'l Fenix has been the ticket so far as I wanted one I could keep with my climbing stand. Small, light weight and nice wide beam with a wide variety of settings. Good little light for the money.

Re: headlamp
I second the boruit bright as hell cheap and rechargable o did we mention waterproof. Make sure to buy you come extra rechargable batterys after a while mine got to where they didnt hold a charge but a hour but still well worth it.

Re: headlamp
I read that one is only 1600 lumens i see some on amazon that are 5000 lumens with good reviews for only 10$ more. Im going to try one and buy plenty extra batterys thats 3x as bright and the boruits are pretty bright so the 5000 lumen has to be ridiculously bright.

Don't buy the hype, they lie like crazy about the lumens. Go here, but you will be there for a while, those guys are serious about flashlights http://www.candlepowerforums.com

Re: headlamp
Go Southern Lite LED Frog Headlamp. http://www.southernliteled.com/sll-coon ... escription It's a 60 watt LED hard hat light that has 6 10 watt Led diodes. A little pricey at 225$ but worth it. It has a lithium ion battery pack which lasts around 4 hours each. I bring a few with me. The batteries are about 20 bucks a piece. Only weighs 1 lb and has a lifetime warranty. Has a full power, half power, and strobe setting. The light also swivels. I love that. I've dropped mine into the water twice and had to fish it out and still works perfect.
