removing planetary gear/ shaft extension
Does the shaft extension come off once the outer planetary gear is removed? can figure out what is holding it on.
Secondly, I am Having a lot of trouble getting the allen bolts free from inside the outer planetary gear. Any advice? I was considering getting a decent impact wrench but wanted to see if there were any other options.

Re: removing planetary gear/ shaft extension
It just has a key, and it's a nice snug fit. I used a rubber mallet, tap all the way around on the end, it'll eventually work it's way off. Notice I used the word tap. Think finishing nail through drywall into a stud, not using a sledge through drywall in preparation to remodel. It doesn't take alot, just a few loops around it until it either falls off or you can pull it the rest of the way by hand. Make sure and use antiseize for reassembly.
