Picked up a 2007 2 stroke 70 yamaha tldr that was in great shape. Bought the new style tiller with trim on end of handle and motor runs great. It came with some oil and after getting it mounted, it runs great. He couldn't remember what he put in it. What is everyone running? That yamalube is high a giraffe twat. When I had my 202 blazer with merc 225efi, I ran quicksilver. I had also ran super tech because they both had TCW3. If I remember, as long as it had that shit, it was compatable. But now these new engines are different. It is an oil injected engine. So what's the verdict on these different oils?

I've got the exact same motor on a bass boat. 10 Years and never a problem. I've used quicksilver and super tech, never yamalube. I THINK as long as it has the CW3, you're ok.

I run royal purple synthetic gear oil in both my Yamaha’s 90 and 200. I’ve done this since they were brand new. I shift my motor in and out of gear hundred(s) of times each day running nets. I have no clue of how many hours are on each motor but it’s a lot.
