I used to use buddy's taxidermy in marshall, tx. If your goin to the mud run in june you could drop it off then. He is average prices and does some beautifull mounts. We've probably had over a dozen birds mounted there and a ram. He's getting increasingly busy though. Last two birds I had done took two years, my dad dropped off two at the same time, and another buddy dropped off a pair also. All were done about the same time. Just started using a guy around the corner from my house for about the same price, but he gets em done in a couple months. I've had him do a pair of buffleheads, and he's workin on an 8 pt for me right now. Marshall is about a 3 hour drive for me. If it were closer, I wouldn't mind the wait so much. He does do a great job. |

Buddy's is in marshall. I'm usin a guy in rowlett right now. Just hate to make that drive out there, then wait two years, and pay the same price. The guy in rowlett is Harwell's taxidermy. Buddy's is listed under Buddy's Taxidermy in Marshall. Harwell has a website I believe. He does good work too, but been usin buddy's for twenty somethin years. Buddy's been in business for gotta be 60 years or so. Buddy died about ten or fifteen years ago. His son Mark runs the biz now. Great guy, and does great work. If it were closer and I wasn't so impatient I'd use him everytime for sure. He always takes good care of us. I still go by and see him everytime I head out to caddo. |

It's a bit far and it 240 a bird , but Nick Fusiler in Henry , LA does all my work. The woodduck here was 12 years old and still looked the same as the day i brought it home and moved 3x in the process. 337-892-0535 |

Ken Dugas in Coteau Holmes, LA. Absolute best person and he has done taxi work forever. When I brought a pintail to him 6 years ago he was fully body mounting (2) 12' alligators for someone. He also did a 24 point deer that a local man shot up in Illinois and it was full body too. He has a full body doe sitting in a habitat scene in a family room in his house. I had a pair of blue wing teal I mounted last year and brought to a new guy I tried, I regret not bringing them to Ken. |
