Does anybody get them?

Heard of a cluster f*ck but not a cluster headache.

I've just been diagnosed with these. I had to come in from offshore because I couldn't function any more. I've been living a miserable life these last 9 days!!!

got a friend that had them and may still. they were so bad he would eat a spoon full of ground coffee. The caffeine would help ease them.. It sounds crazy as hell but iv seen him do it... I will check wit him and get more info on it... This is the first iv heard anyone even speek of cluster headaches in some time now...

I think my wife gets them but only at night !!

but can you tell me the symptoms so if i ever have to duck outta work when the huntins good i'll know what to say.......

Sure. Some other names for them are suicide headaches and alarm clock headaches.

They come at the same time each day. Example: All of mine have come between 10 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon and/or 10 at night to 1 in the morning. If your sleeping when you have one, you WILL wake up. Hench the term "alarm clock" headaches. They are always in the exact same spot. Eye, cheek and temple area. They feel like your eye and cheek bone are going to literlly pop out of your head. At the same time this is happening it feels as if someone is scrapeing the inside of your temple with a butter knife. They hurt so bad all you can do is cry and scream and roll around on the floor pulling your hair out while all the while begging for someone to do you a favor and take your life so the pain can stop. Literally. Hence the term "suicide headache". I would not wish these things on my worst enemy. They are that bad. Seriously. They normally last 30-180 minutes.

My sister has cronic migraines, her Dr. told her if she ever gets caught w/ out her meds she should take 2 tylenol, 1 Sudafed, and a coke (or a dose of caffeine).

gf has suffered from massive headaches for years. evey doctor saw her (e.n.t., general practice, ocular, you name it she saw them, and they ran every test they could) and no one could find anything wrong. she saw a neurologist and they have to give her lydacaine shots in the ocular nerve in her forehead. they told her that after the lydacaine shots start working they told her botox will be her treatment for the rest of her life to end the headaches. she couldn't do anything it was to the point were everyday life was being affected.

I feel for you bro.... I have severe migraines and am still trying to find a doctor that can provide something that helps.
