Post Random Question About a Fly Rod
A few years back I sent someone on here a fly fishing rod and reel. I cannot for the life of me remember who it was. Don’t want it back or anything, just want to know if you’ve used it.

Super random, I know, but lord knows we could use some new topics around here.

Yep. Works well. It's getting upgraded at christmas this year. I still suck at looking the part (I look like an elephant flinging a tree limb trying to cast), but it's caught some fish. Largest being a 3lb native largemouth, and quite a few white perch and bream.

Good topic! Fly fishing is a great way to fish. Wish I spent more time doing it instead of rod and reel fishing. Going to Wyoming in August, always awesome fishing!

Joe Guide - here on MMT - "Redfish On A Fly" - if you want to google him or his book....

8-)

You can catch much bigger fish than just perch on a fly....

Big fan of the buggy whip. Gonna try to find time between ducks and other hunts this fall to find some tarpon moving south down the Texas coast with mine.
