Anyone know of an inexpensive welder that I can use for aluminum? Just looking for something to tinker with. No heavy duty stuff. Won't be building boats or transoms, maybe a bowfishing platform, or fixing stuff here and there. Harbor freight has one for like 150 bucks that says it can weld aluminum. Will this come with everything I need? Will I need to get new parts to be able to use it for aluminum? I have no idea how to weld, and don't want to invest in something too big. But if I could get something to play with for less than a couple hundred bucks, I'd be interested in trying. Thanks guys. |

I got a buddy that could show me a lil bit. He doesn't know much about the welders though, at least a cheap one. Just uses the one they have where he works. I know which one he's using, but its a several thousand dollar machine. I was just looking for something cheap to kinda screw around with. I don't have enough work done to justify having a machine that expensive. Thanks for the input. I guess nobody knows of a specific machine, or specific features I should look in to? |
