Post Quick Ride Yesterday
Went out with a few buddies and went exploring out in Wallisville. The river was very high and out of its banks in a lot of areas allowing us to go cutting through timber. No photos as we were dodging tree limbs, and bouncing off trees.

We went from North of I-10 and headed down to the coast to see what the tide was doing. It was completely out. I took a shortcut between bayous before the bay and found an area with some mud. We crossed over to the other bayou and came down it finally towards the bay.

Few guys in an outboard had caught up to us by now. I took off over the sand flat must have been 4" of water my prop was 3/4 out of the water. The outboard followed but never had a chance.

I still don't understand why people follow a boat kicking up a 20' rooster tail...

Nothing we could do to help them they had 3 guys on board and I wasn't about to stop and get us stuck. We saw them back at the ramp an hour or so later. They said it took them an hour to get it off the flat.

They said they thought they could run as shallow as me.

Fun day on the water killed a bunch of beer and found some new duck holes. BTW where the hell did all the ducks come from? Must have seen thousands yesterday!

Every pothole, farm tank, slough, sheet water flat from San Antonio to Houston (up through Flatonia, La Grange, Breham etc) is covered in birds-

Twp trips through there during season and all that water was devoid of ducks....go effing figure
