Any of yall guys play? I been playin for about a year now and have gotten pretty confident in my game. Its not a very popular sport but seems to be growing. Just curious if any of yall play or have ever played.

Never played, but have seen a few courses popping up around here. Also looked at some of the disks at Dicks sporting goods.. Whats the difference in the disk types? Looks like it would be some fun....

I played a lot my freshman year of college, but the last couple of years i havent played as much. It is funner to play than regular golf IMO but ive only played regular golf once.

Actually it looks like it could be interesting, or at least a little more interesting than the real thing. There is a course on the Clyde Fant parkway in Shreveport along the river. See the sports out there all the time. They got that grundge look going and are all wearing backpacks. I guess thats the "new" golf bag for the disk selection. Do they sell a line of clothing to go along with the game too?

yeah I get ya. 99% of the peopl who play are stoner hippies l.. They make bags for discs but I carry a small backpack for discs and beer! I never thought it would be fun honestly til I played a couple times.. To eachh his own. It's no moe stupid or gay than regular golf

There is definitely a bunch of hippies and stoners that play the sport. Just like there's a bunch of guys that drink beer and drive mud motors.

Been playing since '92....Playin professionally now for 3 years. Ive played the vibram open in Mass. the vibram players cup in Florida, Worlds in K.C. and many others. I used to play ball golf but discgolf is free when you have your own discs and as competitive as I am I was playing 2-3 times a week and when my wife popped out our babies, I couldnt afford to play as much so I switched. I started playing in college at Southwest Texas State in '92 to get outa the dorms with some friends. You outa see what I can make a frisbee do and I will bet anyone on here I can throw a frisbee further than you could throw a baseball or any other object. 500 ft. drives in the air. 600+ft. rollers. Ill bring my discs to the mud run and chunk a few while we are at the launch. And Poker1 I'll let you try and throw one, but youll look like the biggest Phag their with your little girlie arm.

I love frisbee golf players. no need to go to the shotgun range and pay to practice as long as they're around.

You probably couldn't get on one of my throws...like a teal haulin azz w a tailwind. Disc is prolly traveling 70 mph.

for the record: I was stating that it was similar to golf, as in the rules and concept of the game. I suck at ball golf.
