Post That smell
Well yesterday morning I thought my old lady was nuts but now I can smell the oil at my house from the spill. It is even worse down the road from my house and it looks like the oil will hit us by the end of the weekend. They say that it could be like this for weeks now .

I've worked in the oilfield my whole life and now I have to smell this chit at home not to mention what this crap is going to do to the fishing down here.

If this phucks up duck season I'm phucking moving to Utah.

yeah i feel ya man...but youd eventually move back...they have a lot more technology to deal with oil spills now versus 10 nyrs ago. hopefully they can contain the majority of it. btw, whats it smell like...crude oil?

They cannot contain this chit, with southeast winds all week the tide is rising fast and we are going to have coastal flooding. To add to the problem the winds are high enough that the wave actions make it hard for the booms to contain the oil. This is going to be bad for the area.

It smells like crude oil,it is not as bad during the day but at night you can really smell it.

Im in Harahan and can smell it clear as day - yesterday was worse. No doubt it will affect hunting/fishing any where near the Plaquemine Parish / St Bernard parish areas.

They announced yesterday that all fishing east of the Miss river was closed till further notice except Lake Borgne and Pontchartrain. Talk about an impact on the economy down that way. You have to feel for all the guides and marinas. I need to find somewhere else to fish since Delacroix is out now. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'll get you to the general area. You gotta pick exactly where you wanna fish. I'm not gonna show you the exact cuts and points I fish, but you'll be close!!

trust me i know me and dogwalker were talking about that last night, makes me sick to my stomach thinking about it all.

lives lost mainly, economic impact on fisherman and their families, then fishing.
