 GTR help!!!!
need a little help here. i been having my GTR for a couple of months, i have 24 hrs on it, everything been running smooth until i went frogging the other night. I was riding along and my motor started hopping like it wanted to jump off of the transom. then it would run smooth, then start jumping like it wanted to jump off of the transom again, and again and again and so on. the first time i thought i hit something under the surface but it kept doing it....anyone ever have this problem and if so what was the cause. the engine runs smooth, not missing or anything it is just when you are running full throttle it is smooth for a while and starts jumping......

 Re: GTR help!!!!
while at wide open throttle it will shake left and right and up and down and not just a little but almost uncontrollably. at first i thought i might have messed up my prop some kind of way or bent my shaft but i stopped to check it out and all looked good so i dont know what it could be.....thats about the best i can explain it really. i guess you would have to drive it to get a good idea what im talking about.

 Re: GTR help!!!!
Probably fouled the plugs idling for a long period, I would think it is just breaking up on the top end. Pull the plugs and take a look at them.

 Re: GTR help!!!!
half in and half out of the water i believe.......i never really paid that close attention. i trim it out til i get about 3750 RPMS and i did notice that it was throwing an unusually high "rooster tail" behind it and i didnt do anything or run it any different than i usually do.

 Re: GTR help!!!!
Is your trim functioning properly? Not losing pressure etc.

 Re: GTR help!!!!
alright i went run it to see if any of these things were happening....the engine does not change tone or gain/lose rpms at all.....on the other hand i wouldnt think it would be the ethanol because it has no problem starting right up and idleing.......and even if it was the ethanol how could i tell if it did f*** my carbs without dismantling my parts....im not the biggest mechanic buff.......thanks for the help thus far guys!!

 Re: GTR help!!!!
Is it possible that the belt is loose and jumping the teeth on the pulleys causing the engine to jump around?

 Re: GTR help!!!!
Kyle from GT saw my post and PM'd me to call him so i did. he explained to me that he or anyone at GT has never heard this problem either. At first he was thinking it was the clutch band that was broken from hitting something hard at WOT but i couldnt recall doing that. So i brought it to the guys at GT and off the bat they could tell that was not the problem and they asked me to leave it with them over the weekend. i will keep you guys updated on it in case this ever happens to you since no one has ever experienced this so you will no what to look out for if it does................. and dammmmmmmmmit i wanted to go hit up some frogs again this weekend.
