Today's scripture Matthew 13: 32 Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches. Devotional Do you have ideas and dreams? Everything starts small then grows bigger. A five foot tall woman started from an embryo and a giant oak tree started with an acorn. So your ideas and dreams begin small and will grow if you begin to put a little effort into them. As an example, as I am writing this I am thinking of how I got the idea to write daily devotions. I began to write them, five at a time. When I first started writing, I planted the seed. Now several months later the tree is getting huge, full of good fruit for you and me to pick from the tree. If we never do anything but talk about our ideas and dreams then nothing ever grows from them. Little steps towards our goals will eventually become giant accomplishments. The best part about it is that once we step into faith and action God jumps in and helps. |
