I just got an email from the taxidermist that my birds were ready. He sent these pics.

The work was done by birdman studios, not the cheapest but the birds always come out good. I've had good work done in Hammond by bloomquist taxidermy but for odd or rare mounts I send them to birdman studios.

Forever the cinnamon was killed in Reggio.

I got a cinnamon in Waco last year, ended up mounting cinnamon , blue wing , green wing , all together all in flight banking left . We stopped the hunt for pics after retrieving that cinnamon , you have some nice mounts coming .

Prob not the best place to ask but anyone kno how long you can leave a bird in the freezer before takin it to the taxidermist? Sweet mounts man that's gonna be great..tell the wife they are going in the livin room where everyone can see em

My buddy hear at work that just started doing ducks says the best way to freeze them is, in a bag/bucket of water. Once the water freezes and forms a block of ice, no air can get to them and cause them to freezer burn.

My redhead duck he did last year had been in the freezer for about 2 years. It was wrapped in paper towl, that wet pretty good. Then took a plastic grocery bag and wrapped it tightly and taped it. Took another bag and did it again. He said after 2 years it look just as good as the day it was shot.
