Well, the season closed here last Sunday and I have to say it's the best I've seen so far. We were shooting ducks from the beginning of the first phase and didn't stop until the last day. Last year we didn't see a single duck after the first week of January but this year it was completely different. I'm thinking it might also have to do with the fact that this year was my first with a mud rig and last year I had to stay in the deeper water with my outboard so I'm sure that played a part in it.

Overall I shot a 100+ ducks in 37 times that I went hunting out of the 60 days we get. Shot a few species I've never gotten before including one Redhead that's getting mounted. Hopefully next year will be just as good and now begins the 10 month wait until I can do it all over again!

I went so many times that my uncle was worried I had a problem so I told him the only problem I have was that I was beginning to run low on shotgun shells.

glad you put the spanking on em my season sucked arse!! had a couple good hunts that we put the hurting on em but for the most part it sucked, i can say i killed more last year in 2 weeks than my whole season this year. last year was so awesome i dont think i can have another one like it. hope to not have another season like this year ever again!!

My season was good, with mostly average year hunts for us but it stayed steady. My group shot 317 birds on the hunts I was on. So overall pretty darn good. Not to mention we got alot of birds we usually don't shoot other years.

This year I have seen more variety than any other year. Down here we have these places called STA's (Storm Water Treatment Areas) and they're like duck heaven but heavily regulated by the state. The hydrilla in these places is so think you could literally walk on it and not touch the bottom because the run off from the fertilizer in the sugar cane fields gets processed there before being pumped into the Everglades which is why the hydrilla is on steroids there. Because of this, for the last few years, the hunting down here has sucked big time because all the ducks get piled up into these places that they only let hunt once a week on a permit or raffle basis. Last year the only way you would be able to shoot a duck was if you were lucky enough to either pull a permit or win the raffle to get in at 4 in the morning and this year I didn't even bother to go in which says a lot.

This year I shot two wigeon hens, mottle ducks, ring necks, greenwing teal, blue bill, redhead, bluewing teal, and fulvous whistling ducks and all on public land. My buddy shot over 11 species but he went to Lake Okeechobee a lot.

I did good too here in the FL. 64 ducks by myself. 14 species. Mostly cans

The worst I have seen in 4 years of hunting the same area. The lowest tides i have seen also.

I got all of yall beat. Bought my duck stamp and some steel shot to shoot 4 poule deau. Didnt duck hunt much this year.

Started strong threw early teal and first half then slow down first part of second then piced up threw the end are got around 225 230 birds. All in florida.

did well this year alot better than the past 4 or 5 seasons got my first band this year on a pintail drake and this is the first year I have harvested a pintail

My season pretty much sucked....worked 7 days a week 12 hrs a day, but made some good money

Our Season was pretty good, only one hunt in january that my group didnt limit out.

Didn't get to go in the early season, got my motor slapped on barely in time for the big duck season and had a couple decent hunts, one really good one where we smacked 'em, but a lot of skunks. In about 12 trips I probably got skunked 4 times, killed a few all the other times, killed 16 once.


Next year will be better I hope, will be able to chase them better, going to new areas.

Ours was really good. Shot a lot of different ducks this year. No pintails this year though which was odd for the coast.

This was the first year that I had the new rig, and we had an awesome year. First hunt of the year me and my buddy shot some rare red head drakes. (first one ever) The whole second half of the season, had all but 2 times we didnt limit out.

We had a really weird year. lots of ducks we dont usualy shoot n some of our best days waz on se wind. didnt havd a lot of awsome days but only got skunked a couple times.

No water till late season and never bought a stamp.. But did kill the limit every time we went...

Its ok... I never went.... Got water the last two weeks and couldnt get off work... Thank i may sell all my stuff and just do 3, week long trips to different states next year..... With pen and paper, it comes out cheaper.... And you get to see how its done in different areas.... I have a few leads for the up coming season... Just gotta see how my assult case turns out, that f-n pussy....

This season for me was pretty good! Chico and I hunt a lot together here in our local marshes. I hunted hard this year 37 out 60 days and killed over 180 ducks between my dad and I. Tons of variety this year in south florida.. Pintail, Wigeon, BWT, GWT, Florida Mottles, Ringer, Scaup, Redhead, Fulvous Tree Duck, Black belly Tree ducks, and Merganser. I also shot two banded birds and they were my first bands ever. I wish the season was longer but i would probably be a single man. Hope everyone on MMT had a great season and shoot some geese for me in the spring..

We had a great season!! 537 ducks in 36 hunts and averaged 4.97 ducks per person per hunt...

I had only 5 bad hunts, 4 of which were on my lease including 2 skunks (we had poachers shooting our birdsut out from under us but they got what was coming to them)... Funny that we shot limits or near limits every hunt on public land.

Glad to see most everyone had a good season!!
