Just wondering what some of the guys who hunt the saltmarshes here in TX are usin in their spread. I am currently usin about 3dz dekes 1dz gadwalls, 1/2dz pintail, 1/2 dz spoonies, 1/2dz teal, and 1/2dz mallards.

7 doz dekes,

2 doz pintail, 1 doz gadwall, 3 doz teal and 1 doz mix of Wigeon and mallards

About 1 doz pins, 1 dozen Grays, few widgeon, a few teal.
Not one green......

10-12 dozen divers..mixed with some mallards... ringbill, bluebills, Bufflehead, goldeneye, redheads, and the greatest duck ever.. Canvasbacks

2 1/2 dozen gadwall, 2 1/2 dozen teal mixed GWT and BWT, 3 duck but feeders, on super mag pintail with a dove mojo motor on its back.

You boys are makin huntin more difficult than it need be. Just throw out a couple dozen 2 liter coke bottles painted black and 100 lbs of cracked corn.

I throw whatever ones are not cracked... Seems you Northern Boys make Duck Hunting a Job instead of past time.

We shoot more than coots, teal, and dos gris too.

I rarely ever run more than 2-3 mallard drakes per dozen deeks in a place where there aren't many mallards.
I normally run 2 dozen coots, 1 dozen jacks, a few spoonbills, 2 dozen teal, and 1 dozen gadwalls plus what hen mallards I can get my hands on.
In the woods where there are more mallards, I use 3 gadwalls and a wigeon bunched up, 2 or 3 mallards in pairs and a group of 6, 6 woodducks scattered in the brush, and if the hole is fairly big I will put a pair of jacks on the edge of the hole.

Remember these from when I was a kid. Back when the bottom of the two liters were glued on.

I know it's not what I use but I always wanted to carve and hunt over cork plugs
