Post Weatherby SA-08?
Does anyone have any experience with these? I'd really like a semi auto for this season, not ready to buy a really nice one just yet. The reviews on the www are very good, just wanted opinions from guys on here. Looks to be pretty nice for $500.

Thx,
Rod

Look at the Stoeger 3500. Inexpensive SBE.

I've done some research on this one because I had a 2000. The 3500 sounds like a very solid shooter. It got the 2012 Golden Bullseye Award by the NRA.

Have you looked at a 390 or 391 beretta? You can find them in that price range, and they shoot very good.

I know a couple people that had such bad experiences with the m2000 I'd never consider another stoeger model. If I was buyin a new gun and only had around 600 bucks I'd look at the beretta 3901.

Auto,
I'd say go ahead try to find u clean second hand 390, 1187 premier, browning gold /silver,Winchester sx2
These are some very reputable firearms that I have always enjoyed working on and parts are readily available, mostly due to being older guns a lot of these firearms are retired so parts are always available. The newer guns ie Xtrema,sbe,sx3 not so much, mostly the two top bc rt now they both have excellent firearms on the market that are selling, and breaking so parts are in demand. IMO

In time I would look to purchase a firearm from benelli, or beretta. These two are on top of the shotgun market hands down.
( auto loaders)

SA-08 is a great gun. I have 2 friends that have them; both shoot over a 3000 rounds a year.

Good for trap, skeet, and hunting!

Auto I bought a mossburg auto for one of my sons years ago never had any problems with it. It was a waterfowl edition 3" 12 for under $400
