Made a trip up north meet my good friend netman and ended up with a nice 8 point. This deer is a baby compare to what is tromping around this area but he's a trophy to this coonass!!

Terry all i can say is sometimes it's better to be lucky than good!! At least in this case it was anyway. I had just gotten down and packed my climber and gear when this buck starts coming across a field headed directly towards me and of course i'm on a deer trail he is coming on... I drop my gear and knock and load while getting low in the grass. He startes plowing towards me and when he was 10 yards i draw. Well he sees me and turns off down a tree line. Well he stopped 60 yards out to look back at me and see what i was. Well that was the biggest mistake of his life!! I'm not very profficient with an arrow at that far and didnt' have time to check the range so i just just did some coonass configuiring and let it fly. Didn't make it 60 yards.
