Re: Baiting Ducks Vs Baiting Deer?
Ya can't bait ducks cause they are Federall protected due to migratory. Deer are state controlled and up to individual state. Some states don't allow baiting.

Re: Baiting Ducks Vs Baiting Deer?
It is leagal to feed the birds all season ... you just cain't hunt over a baited area until all feed is removed and a ten day period.
That's the way I understands it.

Re: Baiting Ducks Vs Baiting Deer?
Craig,Brad, and Brooks are correct if you look up the regs that what it states. We had looked into this a while back for a dove field that we used to put together.A field or a pond cannot be hunted over until all feed has been removed for ten days.
You can plant anything that you want to make a field to hunt over you just cannot go and but it by the truck load or sack and throw it out there and hunt over it.
As far as lead get ready it is going to be on its way out, there are lots of places that are going to non toxic shot only.Even some skeet ranges have been forced to switch over.If you look at some of the sporting goods stores they have dove/target loads in steelshot.
