That they can't call worth a shit! I joined a duck hunting club and drew a blind with two guys other guys yesterday. Both good guys but one of them thinks he is a competition caller. We spent 4 hours in the blind listening to this guy hail call over me over ....no birds down and my ears were damn near bleeding. I mentioned probably 10 times that we may want to go lighter on the calling. D-bag just kept going! Guy has been in the club for many years and I'm new but can't put up with that shit.

Any words of wisdom?

Lol...only 2 options. Put up with it or tell him to knock it off and be quiet.

One brother I hunt with sucks at calling and sounds like a crow. Had him on the radio and had him keep calling and when he found out it was a crow he was pissed and has never called again. The other brother keep blowing on a crow call till I threaten him with shoving it up his ass. He didn't call on it 1 time this year.

Your problem, hunt with out him and show him all the ducks you killed when no one was hammering on a Kazoo!

If its a camp style atmosphere at the club, the evening before the hunt fill his calls with red ATV gasket maker! He should understand or atleast get the point. Anonymous.

Record him on your phone then play it back around the camp fire with the other members.

Trim his reeds after he goes to bed. That way even he will think he sounds bad.

Hand him a drake whistle or a shaker. Tell him you talked to a couple clubs around and they are having great sucesss with them. If he is serious about the game then he will understand some constructive critisim. You can also tell everyone in the blind not to call at the birds and see how they react to the decoys and spinners. Then you call a little and hopefully he will see the birds react to you calling and not see the need for him to bring his calls. My pet peeve is someone blowing in the call like they are blowing a fucking air matress up. Loud and proud. Burns my ass

Tell you the best thing to do when dealing with somebody like that. Every time they go to call make a noise to mess with their concentration. And if theirs guys in the blind that have the same feelings about the guy they'll start laughing and he'll get the idea to stop call after a few times of that.

tell him you seen a vid about him this weekend and show him this..then tell him to put his kazoo away...

Find a different club or ask him nicely, he has been there a lot longer than you and don't wanna hear shit from a newbie

Piss him off by calling over him every time when he asks you wtf just tell him if he's gonna scare me off they may as we'll hear it a little farther off that way you won't be pissed by seeing what is turning away. Either that or throw his call in the marsh and tell him tits or stfu

Just super glue his reeds together while he's sleeping.

Tell him you need to pitch tune his call. Let him take it off his layanard an hand it too you an you blow a few notes then throw it in the pond then tell him thats how you pitch tune a call. That would fix your problem for sure.

Tell him you never heard anyone blow so much, you wonder if that is why everyone kills more than yall. Or suggest the club re pick blinds weekly
