Re: Awesome duck hunt..................... Yeh, we aint got chit up this way. Talked to few folks hunting different spots from Caddo Lake down to the Red River and its slow. Most didn't fire a shot. I should have had my 3 woodies but I got caught napping a couple times.

I hunted all the way through Thursday and our bags consisted of mostly teal with some greys and a few mottled.I know a few guys that hunt QA and Wilsons area and the shooting has slowed down on that side.I'll be back at it tomorrow morning. I'm getting bad reports from all over.Sorry to hear that some of you fellas don't have anything I know we all wait a long time for this to come and it sucks when the hunting is crappy. I'm listening to my brother and nieghbor hooking up right now to leave and hunt my shit

Re: Awesome duck hunt..................... My buddy is a guide and he and his crew shot 48 in his blind,another blind shot 8 boxes of shells for 24 birds,the other blind ran out of shells with only 14 birds in hand.Those teal are rough on weekend warriors.They had a mix of birds mostly teal.
My brother and crew shot limits this morning also.

WIth the record numbers being reported in the breeding grounds, I would expect LA to have a good number down already. Hope for a hard freeze of North. A good number of ducks in FL. I took my Dad out for the opening and had:
1 Mottled
1 Hybrid Green Head/Mottled
10 Ringers.

Oh well I know where I'm going tomorrow... hunted some marsh and the tides were extremely high causing birds to land in places they weren't landing a few days ago.

I agree..We have a shiat load of ducks here in South Texas.We limit just about every hunt.The problem we are having is all the ducks are rafting up on the open bay.We need wind.. Lots of wind.I think the La birds skipped there stop and come on down here.
