 Re: frog gigs
I don't use one. Just drive by them and the person on the bow grabs em. Just keep the light in their eyes and don't slow down so much that your wake hits them.

 Re: frog gigs
Get a frog net for the hard to reach ones and use your sissy hands for the rest.
I don't like gigs cause it kills them and then you have to put them on ice right away.
To each his own though. Search online and see what pops up.

 Re: frog gigs
Use grabbers for floating frogs and make you own net for frogs on the bank. I carry up to three different nets a night and 1 set of grabbers.
Here's one I'm working on at the moment. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1398820158.690345.jpg

 Re: frog gigs
moonlighter is a pretty good gig. its fiberglass. the trick is to wrap the entire gig in electrical tape for reinforcement.

 Re: frog gigs
I wished I had a gig or something the other night. Had quite a few frogs in a spot on the banks, and it was too shallow and hard of a bottom to get close enough to them to grab.

 Re: frog gigs
I use my hands most og the time but I keep a gig and net in the boat for the frogd that are way up on the bank.

 Re: frog gigs
I usually use my hands as well, when I built my HH light I put 20 feet of cord on it, that allows me to get out of the boat a ways to reach them! I'd like to make or buy a net to use when I hunt from my wheeler so I didnt even have to get off it!

 Re: frog gigs
hard banks
get a long net about 10' long... and tie a string to the bottom and have it in your hand so when you drop it on them they will jump over the ring and you can pull the string from them getting out
