I was looking at the new Browning A5's today and they felt nice on my shoulder, i was just curious if any of yall had one and wanted to throw a few pros and cons at me

I shoot an A4 but I have shot skeet with the 3" & 3 1/2" A5. They are nice shooting guns. Very light as well.

I have one, used it all of last season. It was between it and sbe2. Sbe2 is no doubt a great gun. I got a sweet deal on the A5 and went that route. I didnt like the factory chokes but I put a kicks in it and it's really made it shine.

From what Ive read the only thing the same is the hump. I have an old humpback 12 Belguim made. Not the same gun as the new ones. I do like the new ones tho. Light, slim, fast & looks good too.

I've got one. The hump on the new ones isn't nearly as defined as the old ones. I like the way the older ones shoulder a lot better. I got mine early last year and have rarely ever shot it because I like the way my Benelli feels a lot better

Well then you must not dislike it that much. I dont sale them either. But I wouldnt keep a shotgun that I didnt like. A5 getcha one.

One thing I do really like about it is the coating that's on it. Duratouch I think is what it's called. It's kind of sticky and makes it real easy to hold onto

I dont have one but I have shot them before. 2 guys I hunt with have them. If I didnt like my A400 so much thats what I would have.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I have a Beretta al 3901 right now and I like it but I have had it for a while and am just looking for a shiny new one

I know he (and i agree) the way it shoulders is great... though it jammed a lot..
Think he is going to be using his SBE2 again this year.

I picked one up last year on sale and shot it all season. I liked it enough that I left my Extrema 2 in the safe all season.

Shooters in Lafayette has them on sale til sunday.. picked me one up today

The old A5's always shouldered me well. If I was buying a new gun it would be between it and an SX3

An old family freind finally let me have a look at his private collection last year , he is in his. 80' s and doesn't hunt as much as he used to . I was "allowed " to purchase two shotguns from him, a early a/5 with the original poly choke and a Remington 1100 in 20 guage for my daughter ,(they treat her as one of their grand kids). . I plan on using the a/5 he wants it to keep hunting .

Nice Huck. Dad and I were given a sweet 16 with one of the poly chokes on it from a relative last year. Added it to the 3 Belgium Lt 12's and 1 Jap 12. Dad bought my Belgium 12 when I was a month old and never shot it until I was old enough. Still the best shouldering shotgun with the best drop I have ever shot.

If y'all are hunting your Belgium auto 5's I'd get a jap barrel if you're gonna shoot steel
