 flounder gigging
going flounder gigging for the first time saturday for the super moon. any pointers would be much appreciated. got my lights all set up and going to use a trolling motor. anyone have any luck motor around w the surface drive while flounder gigging?

Cracker you may be able to in your area depending on visibility and type of bottom you're fishin' but over here I mostly hit bars and it's WAAYYY too fast for my taste cause you'll miss a chit pile of 'em. I generally use my gig as a push pole or troll if I can. Good luck! Stick'em!

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=l2pvceJqp38Here's a video I made a few years ago when we were on them good. I use a bow mounted trolling motor when deep enough, otherwise I push with the gigs. We usually cruise shorelines near deeper water as flounder like to have a safe place not too far away to retreat to. But most fish are in water 2ft or less up where the baitfish like to be.

Heres a few pointers.....dont bring nobody to your fav. spot. dont brag about how many u caught. it is just about as bad as frogging now. Hard to find virgin territory.
