I was wondering if someone in the South LA area could give me some good references for some cast and blast outfitters down there. I am planning on bringing a group of 9 guys down between one of the weekends of Sept 13th-28th. This way we dabble in a little bit of teal hunting as well as fish for some reds and trout, etc.

I am looking for a outfitter that can ideally drop us off in permanent blinds in the morning to hunt and pick up the separate groups following the hunt. For the afternoons split the 9 of us amongst 2-3 separate boats to fish.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Well I appreciate it, although its a little pricey for what everyone will be willing to pay for. In all honesty we could hunt the teal in north fl like we normally do and also fish for reds and trout, but I know LA has some great bird numbers and the fish there are hogs. I am open to other options.

Ive never personally used this outfitter, but if you want to venture over into SW La, check out Hackberry Rod and Gun. No idea what their rates are but it's worth a little investigation. There are a couple of other outfitters in the area that cater to what your looking for but i cant think of their names. They're all in Cameron/Calcasieu Parishes. The teal hunting in this area last year was amazing and you have Calcasieu Lake and other estuaries at your availability for reds, speckled trout and flounder.

I've never personally been to HB R&G but have only ever heard good things about them.

Grosse savanne is for wealthy dicksuckers to go and talk politics and smoke cigars and discuss how much they are enjoying spending time at the "camp" like "real people do", not for a group of duck hunters and fishermen.

I would look more towards the buras/venice area for a cast and blast teal trip. Especially if its reds you're looking for. I haven't been personally, but my pops has been with Ryan Lambert a few times and has had nothing but good things to say. I belive it's Cajun Hunting Adventures or some shit like that.

At Grosse Savaughn when you get to the blind and step into it they give you a pair of comfy slippers. There's wifi to connect to so you can check your messages and office email. When it's cold enough, they turn on the heaters. Getting to the blind is a treat: the boat seats are covered in alligator hide. There's an Orvis is shop right in the club house with 4 walls of super quality shot guns you can buy. But most impressive of all, there's 70,000 acres of prime Louisisana marsh to hunt. Just have to be careful to shoot between the oil wells where all the money for this comes from.

Drew, you should also look into the delacroix/reggio/caernarvon area for hunts. you can get the same result as if you where in venice and still have downtown NO with 30/45 min from you.

Why in the hell would anyone want downtown NO within 30-45 minutes of them?
