 Re: Any Kansas waterfowlers?
I live in kansas about 20 minutes from wichita. I'd take you but the truth is at the current time your best bet is to hunt the arkansas river by oxford if the water is still up. Our marshes aren't holding very many ducks right now and I had to switch over to field hunting. Not by choice cuz I like the water better. But the birds just aren't on the marshes. They're on farm ponds now too
It's simple. get a mud motor. shoot ducks in the face.

 Re: Any Kansas waterfowlers?
Anywhere there is small man made water they'll be there
They'll eat corn all morning and just loaf on the ponds until it's time to go get fat again. If I were you I'd scout the pond the night before. Jump shoot the birds in the morning. Set up and wait for more to come.
Depending on where you are you'll be able to shoot geese too. When the ducks start doing what they're doing now. You can use a mojo at the ponds. But keep it close to you so you can turn it off when you hear geese. They're smarter than the mojo. It's simple. get a mud motor. shoot ducks in the face.

 Re: Any Kansas waterfowlers?
I usually don't put a mojo down out there. Never felt I needed it. We took a bunch of honkers during our visit for Thanksgiving. I am far from an expert Canadian caller, but they were very workable. Thanks for the info Jake. Much appreciated. Good luck hunting!
