Typical liberal progressivism. I like my Lala land just fine and theres a whole lot of us that live in it and don't have any trouble with old school ways.

What I did not post are the blinds that were sunk and the "decoy" placeholder blinds set up just to claim territory.

I am against dummy blinds I will agree with you on that. If you don't hunt it then don't ruin it for someone else as long as the spot is a safe and reasonable distance from you. That distance just depends on the terrain. Open water should be no less than 300 yards.

Some of those blinds looks like they was built by Hellen Keller!

if its on public land, get there first and hunt it. if its illegal burn it.

Looks like a great place to start feeding wildlife. That tends to stop all the problems with people claiming a hunting spot.

Just corresponded with the attorney for the School Board about the attorney general's opinion. He said the young attorney in his office who was putting the opinion request together left 2 weeks ago to practice on his own so he was going to pull the file and review what he has done and report to me. So we probably won't have an opinion before the start of Teal Season and maybe not before regular season starts in November. Its gonna be like the wild west again for at least Teal season.

Not a bad way to deter hunting over there, Dean. Go out there and start paving a yellow brick road around all those blinds. LOL

What law is broken? Feeding wildlife? Hunting over a bait is a crime, not putting out feed. Please correct me with facts if I'm wrong.

Kinda what I'm wondering....cept all those guys would be checking their trail cameras to see who was out there baiting their blinds.

It's legal to bait....and it is considered baited for x amount of days after all bait has been removed is something along the lines of what I have read in the past.

Only use as a last resort. If I can't enjoy hunting in a public area following know standards rules and ethics, then "we" can't hunt there.

I like to hunt out of my boat and move with the ducks. First come, first served on the spots. But after after hunting and area for about 20 years, some jerk built a cheapo blind right were he saw me clean up on ducks. Then, he left decoys out there to claimed it was an "active" blind. Tried to make me leave the area after I got there first and setup. About came to blows. He proceed to try to screw up my hunts any time he saw me there. Wasn't worth the potential danger or jail time . So I baited it wih corn and nailed a corn bag to his blind so he would have fair warning . Shut that blind area down for the season . Now he seems to understand and just gets there before I do, thus I move to my second choice. We aren't friends or anything now, but we show each other respect by following standard hunting rules of public ground.

Can we get an update?

The school board voted to form a committee to look at prohibiting permanent blinds and to suggest rules and regulations for hunting. Not happening fast enough for me. Gonna file mandamus suit to force the school board to act immediately. Their own attorney advised that permanent blinds on school board propery were illegal and should be barred immediately but they failed to act. Stay tuned.

Sounds like some school board members either have permanent blinds there or at least get invited to hunt from them a time it 2 a season. Good luck changing that tradition. Kind of old school democratic don't you think.. Just a couple good old boys on the school board looking out for their own and their donors best Interest.

Just saying. That's a documented finding in my field of study. I've mostly heard of it in occult happenings, terrorist groups, and teenage crime groups, (similar to gangs but usually white kids)

At school board meeting Dec 2 the board agreed to draft rules and regulations for the use of Section 16 land, or as we know it the "ok corral". But nothing will be done until after this season. In other words, nothing will happen. Time to put a stop to this and move to phase II.

Dean, I certainly hope you don't have any children or grandchildren in this school district's schools.
