You couldn't pay me to shoot 3 1/2s.

I have a friend that works for Remington, and he said he could sell me the versamax for 700$, and he would give me 2 cases of 3 1/2" shells. Still not gonna do it.

Have a gunsmith lengthen your forcing cone and you can throw an even pattern with the super heavy loads.

Post Re: Shells
Anyone have any suggestions as to where to look for good prices online?

Roggerssporting goods is sold out of the majority of their inventory...i guess i have 2 months to wait any way...

Ive been a Kent 1 1/4 oz 3" 3 shot fan for the past couple years, but id love to find the same round in 1 3/8 oz.

For me its all about consistancy. I can shoot well with a variety of shells, but when i start to change things like my shot size, choke, or FPS I get inconsistant.

How many here go shoot clays or skeet before hunting season. First thing you do is buy some cheap ass lead shot that shoots 1250-1450 fps. Then you go buy some 1550-1750 Steele shot and wonder why you can't hit shot with
It. What ever speed shell you shoot you need to practice to get leads down with same speed shell. If you shooting clays that you don't have to lead then that's don't help either!! Lol

And that's your deltaduckmaster tip of the week !! Lol

A general rule of thumb is the slower the load the better it will pattern. The faster loads can blow patterns. Just pattern a few and you are good to go.
