Well duck seasons almost over but like brooks said they still have 2 weekends left. then another 9 months of waiting till the next one comes around but i'll start this off a little early. so how did everybodys 08-09 season go? For me it went pretty good i had several really good solo hunts which i really enjoyed, learned a lot of new stuff, met a buncha new people, got to hunt out of my gtr and even killed my first drake bellpepper head, gonna put him on the wall, think i killed about every other species before i finally got one but it made it that much more special i felt like a little kid, on the way to pick him up i managed to rip my blind almost fall out the boat and some kinda way managed to loosen my battery terminals (yea that took a few minutes to figure out why my motor wouldn't turn over) but still it was a very good season even tho some of the numbers werent there |

It was the worst year I have ever had, we still managed to get good hunts in.The only high light was I killed more Pintails this year than I have ever killed in my area.We moved around alot,I started bringing the rods,sparkle beetles and an ice chest and put limits of trout in the boat after I hunted. |

Dis year has not been good. Made very few hunts due to da fact dat der are no birds in mines huntin area and then to top it off on my last trip I sunk mines boat and spent da whole mournin recoverin my boat instead of huntin. I have killed more spieces of bourbon and whiskeys dis year than ducks. |

we had a good year on the ducks south of houma lots of gadwalls one of our blinds killed around 400 ducks out of it will have total ducks killed on our lease later |

had a crappy year but good hunts but hell this weekend this is the total 8 big ducks sat am 135 lb spike 3pm 9 woody drakes 11 mixed bag on ducks today and 3 squirrels not a bad weekend...jake you missed out man |

I was not too impressed with this season. We had a few decent days, but overall not too many bird were killed in my area. |

the worst ever. it was so bad that the hnic of du took up deer hunting around xmas @ my dad's camp in mississippi! |

It was a an average season up here. Opened awful. Couple average weeks with building numbers. 'Sotas showed up in force and blew the birds out. Dead for a couple weeks until the numbers worked back up with migrating birds. Then had some decent hunts until freeze-up. Had only one day with unbelievable numbers of birds in the air. Hunted a new place we've been talking about hunting for years, and have it figured out now. Lost an old favorite hole due to too little water. 'bout average. M. |

Overall a disappointing year. Early rains and flooding really spread the birds out. Once the migration started in force, below 0 temps froze everthing up. |
