I fished a good bit there last year, and it was the same thing. At this time of the year I think they are returning from Central and South America, and have gotten hung up here. That is what I saw the last couple years anyway. I haven't been in a couple months out there, but in the late spring I saw a pretty good bit this year. Not 1000 though.
Like last year, they will probably be gone soon.
Every year is different, but from what I have been told, like so many other spots it has declined over the last decade.
I hunted it the last 2 years and you are lucky to see a couple teal in Sept.
Don't get too excited about it just yet. If there are 1000 teal in Beoeuf in Septemeber, there will be 1000 hunters as well. It will feel like pooldoo season.
