 Re: nutria tails
i know it from past times.... we were thinking about doing it but it requires too much paperwork and crap.... kill em and let the gators eat em... by the time you pay the taxes on the money ya make $5 goes down to pennies on the dollar... once ya figure how much ya spend on 22 bullets another site with info http://www.nutria.com/site9.php

 Re: nutria tails
You need a trapping license, signed letter from land owner or land manager and the info on the land that is to be trapped. The state would send you a check after all the paper work was submitted and you started turning in tails to collection station. The station here was a guy in a pick up truck that would count tails get your info and give you a reciept for the number of tails turned in. He would be here twice a week.
I was also getting a buck fifty for the tail less nutria from a buyer in Delacroix, but these were trapped or shot in the head with a 22. This was all before Katrina. Also otters were worth 80 bucks each that year.

 Re: nutria tails
its not like you turn in tails and get paid right there either, sometimes you wait months to get paid.
