I don't know how many East Texans are here, but I went to Palestine the other day and it's L-O-W. The paper said 1' down, but it's at least 3' - 4'. Didn't see any big ducks, but there were some teal flying around. Headed up to Lake Fork tomorrow to look around, the out Saturday for Youth Weekend.

Way I sees it ........ this season is 3 to 4 weeks behind schdule .... I thank MotherNature is in controls !!! East-Texans ain't gonna have much of a DuckByrd season this year .....

Go ahead post them up I have been looking to make a road trip with about 2 dozen friends and family and we heard that east Tx is where its at.

P.S. any gps positions would be helpful

"Picking ticks off catfish"?? I'm going to use that one sometime. As far as posting lake names, it's a big lake.

Fork was ok, but got out there in one arm that I'm not going to mention and the wind got up. That was my first mudmoter experience on 2 1/2' wave action.

Trust me, opening day on Lake Fork there were 2 boatloads of hunters for every duck. Then on day 2.....1 boat! That ought to tell you how good the hunting was on opening day on Lake Fork.
