| Post subject: | Deer Lease in South Georgia, Alabama? |
I'd like to know if by any chance any of you know someone I can contact to see if I could get a hunting lease in the South Georgia or Alabama area for next season? I know it's early but I'd just like the contact info for any realtors or Timber companies any of you might know that deal with leases. I'm just trying to get my contact list ready so that as soon as deer season ends I can get to work since I don't like to wait till the last minute. Right now I hunt with two other family members and we're looking for 400 to 700 acres preferably with electricity and water hook up. I was in my blind this weekend and had some guy on an EZ go drive up to me slowly looking for deer tracks on my lease! So I hide in the corner of my blind so he doesn't see me and when he's 5 yards away I jump out and start yelling at the guy asking him WTF he's doing there. Turns out it was some 19 year old kid that I scared the shit out of and he tells me that the guy that's currently leasing the land to me lets him hunt there. To make a long story short, the next day I find out that the kid's step dad is the brother of the man that's leasing the land to me and they come over to apologize. The best part is that while the step dad is apologizing he tell me that his brother had told him we were coming and that he forgot to tell his kid not to go there which makes me wonder how many people are hunting on that land. Either way, this was my last year there and I'd appreciate any help in looking for a new lease. Thanks. |

Check out Georgia Outdoor News, also i lease some land through Westervelt wildlife services and Plum Creek in North Florida and i believe they manage some land in alabama as well. |

No problem bud, Good luck. Also, try to find out who ur neighboors are if you find a tract you like. it can make a huge difference. |
