 Florida Whistling Ducks
Its been super slow here this year. First phase in central florida was almost a wash. We hunted this morning for opener of second phase. Morning started out good with lots of woddies flying way before opening light. Then the fog rolled in so thick you couldn't see you hand in front of your face . We stuck it out until the fog broke and managed 4 of these fellows..

 Re: Florida Whistling Ducks
Are those native to Florida? Do you shoot them often?

Well atleast you managed to scratch out something.
The tree ducks over here in my area move on before season opens but we managed to pick up these fulvus tree ducks the other weekend

 Re: Florida Whistling Ducks
Yeah they are native it's about all we have been shooting, the teal want nothing to do with the decoys this year. Those ducks are cool we are only allowed 1 fulvous each here, but at least we can shoot 6 black bellied each.

 Re: Florida Whistling Ducks
I had a flock of whistlers come over me today and we dropped two of them. It was a sight to see to have them 10 yards over my head like that. Normally every time I see some they're way up there completely out of range. This weekend was a little slow for me to here in South Florida but I've had two great hunts either way. I'm going again Tuesday morning after this cold front blows through and hopefully it'll bring some more ducks with it. We'll see.
