She took this 10 pt during the Ky. youth season back in Oct. Haven't scored him yet. Having the broken G2 fixed before we score it. |

Well this young lady is all about hunting. When she knows she's going she beats me outta bed. No joke she was up waiting on me to get outta bed that morning. I walk into the kitchen all sleepy eyed and stumbling can barely see on my way to the coffee pot and she flicks on the light and says"I was wonderin when u were gonna get outta bed, I got a deer to kill". So we get in the stand about 45 min before daylight cuz she's chomping at the bit to get in the stand. We watched prolly 50 doe and some smaller bucks til about 8:00. This deer walks out and of course I'll all excited. She grabs the binoculars and says... "Can I shoot this one?" Before I could even answer she has the gun up and the cross hairs on him. I said "drop him." at 250 yrs out he never stood a chance against a Browning 7mm mag. Dropped him in his tracks. Nothing is better than watching her get all excited and shaking after making the kill. She even got in there and helped me field dress him. She hit both lungs and the top of the heart. Perfect shot. |

Thats awesome. Now days the best part of my hunting trips are spending time with my kids. Looks like she really enjoyed herself. |

Tell her congrats on a great deer!!! My 8 yr old daughter had her chance to shoot a nice 6 point thanksgiving weekend and she could only look down the side the gun and not through the scope dont know if it was that she was so excited or so nervous!!!!! kids that hunt and fish dont steal and deal!!!! |
