I know people hate to give away their good bowfishing spots but does anybody know anywhere descent to bowfish within an hour or so of Baton Rouge. Lived here my whole life but theres just not that many places that's worth taking the time to make a trip. I don't care if it is just Carp, Gar and Buffalo. Just need somewhere close to go dick around any random night and have a good time. Thanks for the help.

nobody's really gonna tell ya, but look for wide spots of vegetation coming off the bank and troll next to those areas, its a start. Dont go if its windy, light wont penetrate just mirror, and dont go after it rains for about a week, waters to muddy

yea, i kinna figured that. I was just hoping maybe somebody would give me a little push in the right direction. Just tired of going to the same old places or driving 2.5 hours to go to the coast. I appreciate the advice though

I dont know that area at all but you can do what I do...Check out google earth around your area and then go explore...you might bomb out half the time but you will find some good spots before you know it.

nothing worth a fu** closer than an hour...... just go to grand isle and call it quits
