If anyone from Beaumont / Port Arthur would like to fish this with me let me know. You really need to have 16LBS + to get into the good money. Anglers are average 8.0LB + / fish.

Do you fish this tourney out of your Gator-tail if so how do you keep your fish alive? I am wanting to get into tourneys like this one here in LA, just trying to figure out how two keep two 26 3/4 inch reds alive in my GT.

Xtreme Redfish Trail - Port Neches, TX
This tourney has an entry fee of 400 bucks a team. You will be fishing against some of the best on the Texas coast. I ain't trying to scare none of you but its tough. I fished it last year, went thru about 30 reds thru out the day and only had one keeper in the whole bunch. Then the winning team came in under some controversy and was allowed to weigh in. I called bullshit but it was not my call. I said right then I would not fish another extreme tourney. Good luck to any of you that do decide to fish.

Re: Xtreme Redfish Trail - Port Neches, TX
There is a new tournament director this year & new staff handling, all issues have been resolved. I was not at the tournament I do sponsor this tournament though I faintly remember some issues coming up but that happens with any tournament. As I said if your not on 8LB + redfish best just show up for the weigh-in

Re: Xtreme Redfish Trail - Port Neches, TX
As someone has said, it was a hurricane and the bite changed for a lot of teams. As usual though, there were some big bags brought in and a huge weight took home the win. Congrats to all the teams that fished! 33 boats fished and 12 kayak teams.
