My seven year old son shot his first turkey Sunday morning at 7:30AM. It was a calm morning with a temp of 51 degrees. Kyle shot the bird with a 20ga Benelli Montefeltro using 3 inch number 4's. The bird was 16 yards away when he pulled the trigger. It had a 9 inch beard and 1.25 inch spurs. I made him pass on 2 jakes Saturday morning that were @5 yards away. I also made him pass on 5 jakes Sunday morning that were within 12 yards. You talk about one excited little boy and one proud dad. |

Congratulations! We went to Three Lakes WMA where I shot one two seasons ago and this year there were almost 200 hunters and only 9 birds taken out opening day. It's good to see that you guys bagged one, congrats! |
