Any of you guys tried getting tags for the new spring season. I was thinkin about trying to get one or two and try my luck. |

I was reading a tpwd link and it was talking about spring season. But I didn't understand parts of the rules and regs. |

"I believe" you must own land in a qualifying county and make an application for tags based upon acreage in that county.... Then the line must be fixed to property which you own or have the legal rights to hunt upon - during the prescribed season.... Not sure if "undevided property" is eligable - but if it is I would like to apply for a tag myself one day... |

It says there is two seasons one is by permit only for 22 counties and the other is for all other counties and the link doesn't say specify any info about getting tags |

Well I have no personal experience - but the way I read the rules you GOTTA have a TAG to take a gator... http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/publication ... 0_1011.pdf Has better info than the main pages of TPWD - the Core and Non-Core seem to have different limits on number of gators and open an close dates - but it sure reads like you GOTTA have a TAG.... Now if there is a way to get a tag without a CITES land survey - then you might be on to something.... |

http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/huntwild/hu ... alligator/ i own land on the trinity river in Anahuac where the camp houses are. YES you can gator hunt if you have land which is undivided. I own 2 arces undivided and get 1 tag every 3 years that is how it is set up with the undivided land and it doesn't matter is you have more acres if its undivided that is that you get 1 tag every 3 years. That is how the core counties works don't know about non-core |

I know where a pile of them are that sure do bother me when i am fishing. They just follow the boat around lol |
