My poling platform probably weighs 40 pounds. Usually bowfishing decks are at least twice as big, so I'd guess 80-100 pounds. This assumes it is made out of aluminum.

I wouldn't run an inverter with A/C lights as it would probably drain your battery fairly fast. I always use my hardhat light (runs off a boat battery) while bowfishing and it was the only light I used before I got a generator. I think I've heard of some guys using D/C floodlights like "spreader lights" with some limited success. Recently Bowfishing Country had a few threads about different L.E.D. light setups that can run off a battery but I don't think anyone has figured it out yet. They probably will though in the not too distant future because L.E.D. technology is improving so fast.
